Updated on December 03, Tweet Share Email. I do remember Apple taking this away in an earlier version of iTunes and then re-instating it with the next version, so you never know. From a technical point of view, it is useful, especially now we can set our preferences for EQ for each track another nice feature.
It's good to be able to guage the level of impact as we adjust settings, which is what the meters were invented for in the first place.
I'm guessing the new and very nifty mini-player has precluded the insertion of the EQ meters. Here's hopig those clever OSX peeps can get their heads around a solution They just changed the keyboard shortcut for the windowed visualizer. Ctrl-cmd-f rather than cmd-f.
Hope this helps. Dec 13, PM. The op was referring to the moving pseudo-visualizer that could be viewed on the mini player and at the top of the itunes window. EQ meter wasn't the best way for the OP to phrase it, but he was not referring to the equalizer. I've been using a windowed Cubism instead of that myself. Yea I am referring to the muli band peak meters not the multiband E,q sorry for not making it more clear, the meters used to show up when you clicked once on the top window that showed the song name and the playback bar with track time counter, when you used to click on that area in iTunes it would switch to the peak meters.
I will check out the visualizer thanks. But if it only runs in full screen mode now it won't be a great replacement for what used to be there. Dec 14, AM. That visualizer works just like the ones already installed with itunes. Still takes up the whole iTunes window though. The new mini-player does let you search songs while the windowed visualizer is running, so not a complete loss. Dec 19, AM. Cool thanks, will install the meters above, and glad to here you can still run the visualizer in windowed mode, will check it out later when I get a break.
