Here are some examples of search suggestions. When you start typing in the address bar, Firefox suggests relevant popular searches as provided by search engines like Google, Bing, etc. When search suggestions are enabled, the text you type is sent to the default search engine, which analyzes the words and displays a list of related searches.
When you are using a search shortcut, the keyword suggestions come from the chosen search engine. Smart keywords do not make keyword suggestions. As you type into the address bar, Firefox may offer relevant site suggestions, such as websites from your browsing history, bookmarks and open tabs, to help you quickly and easily navigate the web. This lets you visit websites in just a few keystrokes no mouse needed. Just press Enter Return when Firefox finds a match. If your search term autocompletes to a web address that you don't want to visit, press Del , Backspace delete or Space before pressing Enter Return. Also depending on software installed in your computer like Bing, if you misspell the address it will redirect you to Bing search results.

At worst it will take you to the wrong place or fail to find the website you're looking for. Look for the Address Bar near the top of your browser window. It may be in the same place as our example or it make look a little different, but it will usually be labeled "Address". If you know the URL of the website you wish to visit, type it directly into the address bar and click the Go button or hit your keyboard's Enter key. This bypasses the search altogether and takes you straight to the site you want to visit.
